Wordpress Snow Effects
I launched this site at the weekend and in order to get the Akismet plugin working I had to go and register with Wordpress.COM in order to get an API key to activate the plugin. When I got to the site I though my vision had gone funny as sometimes when I work at a computer for a long period of time I get little spots appearing and I need to take a break for a little while.
In this case it was not that I had been using the computer for too long, it was simply a visual effect via a wordpress plugin called Let it Snow. Now not only do I need to contend with spotty vision I also have to content with potentially a wide number of wordpress blogs having snow effects on them, distracting me (which is already a much too easy task) from what I’m trying to achieve.
I may sound like Scrooge in this festive time but I prefer to read my content without distractions… how many people would like to read their newspapers in the morning with white dots running all over the page?
