Banana Green – Only pay 90% of Quoted Price
My friend recently decided to recycle her iPod touch via Banana Green in order to get a little extra cash. This was an immaculate iPod touch which was only about 4 months old and had only been used a couple of times if you were lucky and Banana Green quoted £100 for this which seemed fine.
Today she received a cheque for £90 from Banana Green and the accompanying letter stated “Upon inspecting your device, unfortunately it does not qualify for 100% of the payment as quoted during the online submission process due to the follow reason(s):” and then fails to specify any reason. I have uploaded a copy of the Banana Green letter so you can see exactly what I mean.
To me this looks like Banana Green just did not want to pay the full price which makes both my friend and I really annoyed that they have deducted 10% of the quoted price for a perfectly good iPod touch for no reason.
As you can imagine this is something we will be taking up with Banana Greena and we will keep you updated as to how we get on.
